Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, API, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by TAAPI.IO, s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic with Company ID 08500398, whose registered address is Primátorská 296/38, Libeň, 180 00 Praha 8 ("TAAPI.IO", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

TAAPI.IO provides a REST API that delivers real-time and historical technical analysis indicator data for cryptocurrency markets and US stocks. The Service is intended for use by developers, traders, and businesses building algorithmic strategies and data-driven applications.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.

2. Account Registration & Security

To access the Service you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials and API key confidential.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

One account per individual is permitted. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, extend free trials, or otherwise abuse the Service constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of all associated accounts.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

3.1 Free Trials

New subscribers may be offered a free trial period as stated during sign-up. Free trial eligibility is determined by TAAPI.IO at its sole discretion. We reserve the right to limit or revoke a free trial if we reasonably believe it is being abused.

  • If you add a valid payment method before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial period and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.
  • If no payment method is added before the trial ends, your subscription will be cancelled automatically and API access will be suspended.
  • Your account and API key are not deleted on trial expiry — you may resubscribe at any time.

3.2 Paid Plans & Auto-Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

All prices are displayed exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT/GST). Where tax applies based on your billing address, it will be added at checkout and shown on your invoice.

3.3 Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing section of your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period — you retain full API access until that date and will not be charged again.

Regarding refunds:

  • Monthly plans: No refunds are issued for the current billing period once a charge has been processed.
  • Annual plans: If you cancel within 7 days of your initial annual payment and have not exceeded reasonable usage, you may contact us at [email protected] to request a refund. Refunds are issued at our discretion and are not guaranteed.
  • Refunds are not available for renewals or plan upgrades.

3.4 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will notify you by email and Stripe will automatically retry the charge according to its standard retry schedule. If the payment cannot be collected after retries, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled and API access restricted until payment is resolved.

3.5 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes your acceptance of the new price. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect.

4. Permitted & Prohibited Use

4.1 Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms and your active subscription, you may:

  • Query the API to retrieve indicator and price data for your own private trading strategies, bots, and research.
  • Display indicator outputs within your own application to your own end users, provided you hold a valid Enterprise licence (see section 4.2).
  • Use the data as an input to your own calculations, models, or algorithms.

4.2 Commercial Use & Enterprise Licensing

A standard subscription permits personal, non-commercial use only. If you wish to use TAAPI.IO data commercially — including displaying data publicly, embedding it in a product sold or offered to third parties, or using it within a client-facing application — you must obtain an Enterprise licence. Please contact us to discuss Enterprise pricing.

4.3 Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw API data or indicator outputs to third parties via your own API, download file, public endpoint, or any other means.
  • Use the Service in a way that imposes unreasonable load on our infrastructure, including automated scraping beyond normal API usage patterns.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or any other access controls.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the Service.
  • Register multiple accounts to abuse free trials or plan limits.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund.

5. Intellectual Property

TAAPI.IO and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the Service, including the API, website, documentation, and underlying technology. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.

Raw market data (price, volume, OHLC) is sourced from third-party exchanges and data providers who retain their respective rights in that data. TAAPI.IO's technical analysis calculations and indicator implementations are proprietary.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from using indicator output values (numbers) in your own work — only redistribution of the data stream itself is restricted.

6. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer

6.1 Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or available at all times.

Third-party exchanges and data providers may experience outages, delays, or data errors outside our control. We accept no liability for data inaccuracies originating from these sources.

6.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TAAPI.IO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or financial losses arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Note: Some jurisdictions, including EU member states, do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability. In such cases, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

6.3 Trading Disclaimer

TAAPI.IO provides technical analysis data as an informational tool only. Nothing on this website or returned by the API constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. All trading decisions are made solely by you and at your own risk.

Cryptocurrency markets and stock markets involve substantial risk of loss. Past performance of any indicator or strategy is not indicative of future results. TAAPI.IO is not a broker, investment adviser, or financial institution, and is not regulated as such.

7. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have:

  • Violated any provision of these Terms.
  • Engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • Registered multiple accounts in breach of section 2.

On termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including sections 5, 6, 8, and 9 — shall continue to apply.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Czech data protection law.

9. Affiliate Programme

TAAPI.IO operates an affiliate programme that allows approved partners to earn commissions by referring new paying subscribers. By participating in the affiliate programme, you additionally agree to the following:

  • You must clearly disclose your affiliate relationship with TAAPI.IO in any promotional content.
  • You must not publish content that is pornographic, violent, illegal, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate alongside your affiliate links.
  • Commissions are calculated on successfully completed transactions only. Transactions resulting in chargebacks or refunds are excluded.
  • Commissions are paid out monthly, on the last business day of each month, provided the minimum threshold of €10 has been reached.
  • TAAPI.IO reserves the right to modify commission rates or terminate the affiliate programme with 30 days' notice, or immediately in the case of a breach of these terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Prague, Czech Republic, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
